Chronic Wound Management
.

LST provides a cost-effective and comprehensive program for physicians and nurses in the advanced management of chronic, non-healing wounds. The program includes written and computer-based reference materials, lectures at your facility, training in digital photography, written documentation, Part A and B billing.

Our cost-effective program offers hands-on clinical experience while rounding with LST physicians and nursing staff at our primary clinical training facility at
The Mount Vernon Hospital Chronic Wound Treatment and Hyperbaric Center. Subsequently, the same LST clinical training staff will rotate on-site at the customer facility in support of the Wound and Hyperbaric practice.

How your Hospital will Benefit from LST Chronic Wound Management.

In this era of rapidly changing medical service reimbursement, most Article-28 medical institutions are seeking to develop new profit centers that are clinically effective, involve minimal risks, and that fit within the overall goals of the hospital and meeting community needs.

The need for a clinically effective chronic wound treatment service is evident in any community, especially in areas of older patient populations. Advancements in chronic wound treatment technology, particularly in the adjunctive use of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBO2) have dramatically improved the resolution rates of even the most refractory chronic wounds.

An aggressive and comprehensive Chronic Wound Management Program, and the timely use of adjunctive HBO2 can often significantly delay or even eliminate the need for limb amputations over a patient lifetime while actually increasing the total numbers of vascular and other surgical interventions needed for wound debridement, vascular by-pass, and reconstructive graft and flap surgeries in the same patient population.

Initial and On-going Educational and Billing Support.

LST will provide initial and continuing in-service chronic wound and HBO2 training to the medical and appropriate administrative staff.
